Use this guide to replace the plastic outer shell that surrounds the charging core for your Fairphone Fairbuds.

            Flip your charging case upside down. 
- 
            Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 4.5 mm‑long screw securing the outer shell. 
 
-

                  - 
            Lift the charging core out of the outer shell and remove it. 
- 
            You're now left with the outer shell for replacement. 
 
- 
            
To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Thanks for the guides, but the outer shell can be disassembled further. The top part with the magnets can be opened up. This gives access to the hinge parts.
My case had a pin for the hinge shift from it's position (Making it useless) and the spring for the closing mechanism hat to be reset to it's original position. To do that I had to open up the upper part of the case. This was possible by prying it open with a jimmy from the front and shifting the tool to the sides. The pin could easily be reset with some tweezers. The spring was a bit more of a fight but it worked out.
I use the buds somewhat recklessly and they are just about 6 months old, so I suspect the hinge is mechanically the weakest part with many complaints to come. Perhaps you could extend this guide with a hinge repair?
