            The lever opening the water inlet is obviously too thin and a breaks after even a moderately long use.

            This is rather easy, unscrew the plastic grey screw and drill the aluminium rivet to undo the lever

            This is a rather difficult part, I found a crop strip of steel of good thickness and width. Here about 3mm thick.

            The worst part of it is to create a "oblong" hole in it to replace the initial plastic moulded part. 
- 
            I did this with my small milling machine. If you do not have this machine, you might find some alternative, but this is definitely the most demanding part.

            The revolute joint is of the knuckle type, here I used a piece of oak wood to it. It is quite tricky to model the wood to the curvature of the bended metal strip. Both are quite strong. I used combination of jigsaw, milling machine, grinder etc to obtain the final result.

            A paint on the steel part will be necessary to provide rust resistance.
