Using a TORX T10H bit, under the flip cover/stand, remove the four screws holding the battery cover in place.

The battery can be easily removed by using your fingernail or a small flathead to pry the connector free. It is held in place by tension on both sides. Once detached, flip the speaker over and the battery will fall out.
