Introduction

Sony Xperia Z3 battery is non-removable. When you encountered the problem with battery, it's a little complex to replace.

    • Heat the back cover to soften the adhesive sticker.

    • Use the suction cup to open a gap from top side or bottom side.

    • Insert into the guitar pick and slide to cut the sticker.

    • Remove the back cover.

    In step 5 where it says that there is adhesive on the battery, my adhesive was actually joining the battery to the back plate making this step quite difficult. I had to focus the heat on the backplate right where the battery was and then use a long lever to separate the battery from the back plate.

    • Pry up with a little effort because there is adhesive under the battery though not so strong.

    • When you finished to replace battery and ready to assemble the phone, you need a piece of new back cover adhesive sticker because it's disposable and the old one can't use any more.
