The Galaxy Buds Plus earn a 7 out of 10 on our repairability scale (10 is easiest to repair):
-
External assemblies are held together with clips instead of glue, making for a non-destructive entry process.
-
Disassembly can be accomplished with common prying tools and a Phillips screwdriver.
-
The earbuds use rechargeable coin-cell batteries that are easier than ever to replace.
-
Opening procedure is a bit unorthodox, and can cause cosmetic damage to the buds.
-
Careful prying is required throughout to separate components without tearing fragile cables or otherwise damaging the buds.

More wireless earbud teardowns, please! I would also like to see the Galaxy Buds+ drivers.
