Farkhor (Tajik: Фархор), also called Parkhar (Russian: Пархар), is a city in southwestern Tajikistan, located on the border with Afghanistan.[3] It is the capital of Farkhor District in Khatlon Region. The population of the town is 25,300 (January 2020 estimate).[1] The Farkhor Air Base is about 4 km south-west of Farkhor. The record high temperature of 44.4 °C (111.9 °F) was recorded on July 8, 2021.[4]
