Skalmierz [ˈskalmjɛʂ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Błaszki, within Sieradz County, Łódź Voivodeship, in central Poland. It lies approximately 6 kilometres (4 mi) north of Błaszki, 26 km (16 mi) north-west of Sieradz, and 73 km (45 mi) west of the regional capital Łódź.[1]
